The Plains Margaret Ellen McGee White, age 95, of The Plains died early Monday morning, March 10, 2025 at The Lindley Inn, The Plains. Born May 13,1929 in Glouster, she was the daughter of the late Ernest King Bryson and Margaret Bullock Bryson.She was a 1946 graduate of Glouster High School, and was Class Salutatorian. She worked at the Athens County Treasurer's office for 26 years and retired in 2004 as Deputy Treasurer. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and attended The Plains United Methodist Church. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, reading, walking, her card clubs and the Tuesday Night Singles Club. Family was very important to Margaret, her grandchildren will always remember her M&Ms, Oreos, and Drumsticks.Margaret is survived by two daughters, Mary Margaret (Dennis) Satterthwaite of Fresno and Marilyn Marie (John) Waugh of Chillicothe; a son, John Max (Connie) McGee of McArthur; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandc
