Logan It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jimmy Eugene Wallace, Logan, Ohio, on August 20, 2024 at the age of 85. Jim was born on September 11, 1938, in Rainelle, West Virginia, to Tommy and Ada (Smathers) Wallace.Jim Graduated from Ohio University and was a teacher at the Athens Middle School for 32 years. He was also a life member of the Elks Lodge #543.Jim loved to be outdoors planting and caring for his gardens and fruit trees. He also enjoyed spending time in the woods every spring, hunting mushrooms. His vast knowledge of history, and years of wonderful memories, made him a great storyteller. Jim loved his family and his home. He always looked forward to attending The Village Church of Buchtel with his beloved sister Connie Hayden.Jim is survived by his wife and companion of 43 years, Jamie (Wend) Wallace; his children, Jan (Mike Briggs) Meimaridis, Jimmy (Anita) Wallace, and Julie (Doug Tolliver) Wallace; step-sons Rick (Harleigh Cruze) Morgan, and Joe (Mar
