Coolville - Jakeson E. Rankin, 69, of Coolville, died Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family.Born July 10, 1954, in Athens, Ohio, he was the son of Mary Lou Pullins Fryar and the late Morris Rankin.  Jakeson was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt deer and turkey.  He also loved to spend time on the water fishing and was a big fan of horse pulling.  He is survived by three brothers, John (Connie) Rankin, Brian (Paula) Fryar and Randy (Anita) Fryar; special nephew, Tylor Fryar; special freinds, Reanna Barker, Jerry Burdette, Mike Carlton and Richard Douglas; a special fur baby, Taco and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lee Roy Fryar.The family would like to thank Ohio Health Hospice for their excellent care.  Jakeson wishes are that there be private services only for the family.Arrangements have been entrusted with the White Funeral Home in Coolville.
