Pamela Gale (Holcomb) Bentz, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and teacher,
unexpectedly entered heaven on June 27, 2024, at the age of 65, following a prolonged illness.
Born on July 28, 1958, in Lockhart, Texas, Pamela was the cherished daughter of Everette and Vera
(McWhorter) Holcomb. As a child, she was a one-girl band, creating symphonies with pots and pans, all while
doubling as the family's unofficial homework enforcer.
A graduate of Meigs High School, Pamela pursued her passion for teaching by earning a bachelor's and
master's degree from Ohio University. She achieved a National Board Certification and her teaching career
spanned over 35 years, during which she profoundly influenced the lives of her students.
Throughout her life in New Vienna, Ohio, she welcomed her daughter into the world and embraced her
