Ryan Lee McKinney-Bareswilt, age 45 of Athens, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 23, 2024 at his home. Born February 2nd, 1979 in Gallipolis, Ohio, he was the son of the late Anna Marie McKinney and Roy Grayson Bareswilt.Ryan graduated from Meigs High School in 1998. After high school, he obtained his paramedic and Firefighter II certifications. Ryan served selflessly for numerous fire and EMS agencies in central and southeastern Ohio. Ryan served as a volunteer fireman with Rutland Volunteer Fire Department. Most recently, Ryan was employed with GDC of Gallipolis. Besides his parents, Ryan was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.Ryan is survived by his son, Boston Bareswilt of Athens, Ohio; daughter, Makayla Coppus of Plain City, Ohio; sister, Chrisi Bareswilt of Lake Mary, Florida; brother, Andrew Bareswilt of Circleville, Ohio; uncles, John McKinney of Pomeroy, Ohio, Mike Bareswilt of Cheshire, Ohio; four nephews; two nieces; and many cousins.
